Long time ago I was visiting a nursing home in the US and there was a very old Irish gentleman sitting in his wheelchair. He had some form of dementia. He was singing his old Irish ballads, don’t know if it was sea shanties, but he didn’t miss a lick. Singing goes to a different part of the brain than talking (in case you didn’t know). 🧑‍🎤🎶He seemed petty happy at least for a while.

I love these. Excellent compilation.

Not only i missed the music, i also think it's a shame that all the heartwarming comments about singing with loved ones or the little stories about pirates and sailors got deleted too. I loved going through them.

The original was the thing that got me here... It's nostalgic. I hope it stays here now.
